This past Saturday was my dance school/company’s bigimportantbeenplanningforthisformonths Lunar New Year Festival. I’m so glad everything somehow worked out and the performance was amazing. and the crowd was freaking amazing too. The entire- literally ENTIRE Winter Garden Atrium was filled to max capacity from the up front seating to the stairs and all of the balcony. More people weren’t even allowed to enter.

one more day of performance tomorrow then I have a “day off” in which I haven’t decided whether I want to go to the office or not. and then performances everyday again until the 9th.
These past two days of performances have really brought my spirits up. Last couple of days of performing and rehearsals had really been stressing me out, but after today I remembered why I loved doing what I do. When I see the faces of those children in the audience light up, my heart feels filled with joy (hahah so corny sounding- but seriously). The moment when the music is on and it’s all eyes on me- I thrive on that attention. Then when the piece is over and all I hear are little hands clapping and voices saying “hao”- nothing gives me a greater sense of fulfillment. And then today I received the cherry on top of all these good feelings that just made me giggle like hehehehehe
yes, I was “one of the women [that] spoke to the children and explained the different dances..” hehehehe
Hopefully, the rest of this month will go smoothly. Big shows this weekend!
